Corona in the UAE: Reasons why the country is prosperous despite the epidemic

 While a new strain of the corona virus, Omecron, has forced a re-lockdown in many parts of Europe, the United Arab Emirates is a country that has not allowed the new strain of the virus to have much impact and is still attracting tourists.  Is open to

 During this global pandemic, the UAE is fighting Corona better than many other countries in the world due to its vaccination rate as well as extensive and affordable testing facilities.

 The UAE is currently ranked number one in Bloomberg's Code Resilience Rankings. 

 The rankings include 12 indicators such as healthcare standards, virus deaths and travel reopening, covering 53 countries.

 That is why, despite the spread of Omekron in Europe once again, the UAE seems to have succeeded in controlling the infection and keeping the country open to tourists.

 Due to epidemics, its most populous city, Dubai, has also transformed itself into a global tourist destination and invested in its community.

 "We all had to work together to protect each other," said Kathy Johnston, chief chocolate officer at Mirzam Chocolate Company, who has lived in the city for more than 30 years.  Indigenous peoples are supporting local ideas and projects.  

Things are a bit slow but moving forward.  Having lived here for two years, I feel like I have lived on another planet and I like it. '

 What is the reason for going to UAE now?

 

Residents say the weather is fine here at the moment. 

 "Between October and May is the best time of the year because it is not very hot in between," said Dale, a resident of Dubai.

 In this season, outdoor events and activities return once again which are held as recreational activities on various corridors and rooftops of the coastal city.

 The city is also hosting Expo 2020 by the end of March 2022, a six-month global gathering featuring stalls or pavilions of major companies from around the world. 

 The companies involved are showcasing their unique and diverse inventions and future plans.

 "Don't forget to go to the expo," Johnston said.  Set aside an entire week for this.  It doesn't matter if you have to wait in line for three hours for Japanese sushi. 

 Enjoy the palms with ‘Dukha’ in the ‘Baron’ restaurant at the Expo Center, and dream of the stars under the skies in the Australian Pavilion. Travel to disappear.

 Dubai has worked tirelessly over the past decade to become more sustainable, with huge investments in solar energy, water conservation and green building and infrastructure.  

Expo 2020 is also hosting a Sustainability Pavilion showcasing projects such as solar trees that provide energy and shade.  Another highlight of the pavilion is a large vertical farm with 9,000 plants and herbs.

 Johnston said that with so many new places opening up over the past two years, the epidemic has unexpectedly provided opportunities for local ingredients and skilled chefs to showcase their talents. 

 Her favorite restaurants are 'Aurafli Bros.' for Arabic flavors, 'Traced Stoldio' and 'Barn Specialty' for high quality food and snacks, while she prefers Happy Restaurant for sweet potato cakes.

 To combine the flavors of Japanese cuisine with local ingredients, Mohammed recommends eating Moonrise on Eden House and its Omakas menu. 

 "For example, one of Spain's dishes is the Spanish Chaturo, which includes honey from Ras Al Khaimah, 100 km northeast of Dubai."  Vebha Dhawan, a local resident who is also a travel advisor to the Aviation Travel Group, recommends the 'Boca' meal, which uses salmon from the UAE fish farm and milk from local camels.

 To take a closer look at the viable sustainability measures in the city, Vibha Dhawan suggests going to 'Emirates Biofarm', the country's largest private organic farm.

 "Take a group tour for which sunset will be the best time," he said.  This allows you to take a detailed tour of the multi-acre farm and also cut your own vegetables. 

 They also offer delicious food experiences throughout the year.

 She recommends Al Maha Resort and Spa to enjoy the natural desert of the region. 

 Set within Dubai's first national park, the five-star resort aims to preserve the desert environment as well as the rare breed of Arab Bara Sangha.

 Today, herds of 300 or twelve Sanghs of this generation roam freely without fear and danger, for the promotion of which decades have been worked out. 

 Arrange for wildlife sightseeing on foot, in jeeps, on camels or on horseback with field guides at the site for visitors.
